One star per row, column and region — and none of them touching
Updated Sep 17, 2026
Star battle, sometimes published as two not touch, is a placement puzzle with a very short rule set: put the required number of stars in every row, every column and every outlined region, and never let two stars touch, not even diagonally. The no-touching rule is what turns it from bookkeeping into logic, because each placed star sterilises the eight cells around it. Grids come in 5×5, 6×6 and 7×7. Generate a puzzle, solve it on screen or print the PDF with the answer key.
