In a mosaic puzzle, also published as fill-a-pix, each number tells you how many cells are shaded in its own 3×3 neighbourhood, itself included. A 9 means the whole block is shaded; a 0 means none of it is. From those two extremes the picture spreads outwards, and shading resolves cell by cell until an image appears. If you have played minesweeper the counting will feel familiar, but a mosaic always resolves by pure logic. Sizes are 6×6, 10×10 and 15×15, each exporting as a printable PDF with the answer key.

Frequently asked questions
