Solitaire battleships, also published as bimaru, turns the childhood game into a one-player deduction puzzle. A fleet of known size is hidden in the grid, the numbers along the edges say how many ship segments sit in each row and column, and a few cells are revealed, ship or water, to get you started. Ships never touch, not even at a corner, which is the rule that does most of the work: every located ship clears a border of water around itself. Grids are 8×8 or 10×10, each exporting as a printable PDF with the answer key.

A fleet of given sizes is hidden horizontally or vertically in the grid. The numbers beside each row and column give the count of ship segments there, ships never touch each other even diagonally, and the revealed cells (ship pieces or water) are correct.
